Let Your Assistant Book Your Holiday Travel

Just ask to find the best flights

Holiday travel is right around the corner—so if you haven’t already booked your flights, you might need to get on that. Google Assistant can help you, using the power of the Google Flights search engine to find you the cheapest and best flights to get you home for the holidays.

All you have to do is ask: “Hey Google, what’s the cheapest flight to Chicago on December 20th?” (or whenever you plan to hit the road). Whether you look in the Assistant app or use your Nest display (the best ways to do this!), you’ll get a list of flights, noting the airline, total flight time, and price, separated by nonstop flights vs. ones requiring connecting flights.

Here's How it Works

Tap on a flight, and you’ll get further into the booking, where you can see a bar graph showing how the price changes in the days surrounding your pick.

Tap on a particular flight, and you can see the schedule, price, and even how the flight fares as far as carbon emissions—and you can change your return flight date on this page, too.

Then, choose which class you want to fly (and see how much that adds to your flight cost).

Tap continue to get to the airline’s site to book.

Pro Tips

Pro Tip #1: In the app, Google prepopulates questions about your destination, such as the weather, information about the place, and more—so you can start planning ahead for your trip.

Pro Tip #2: If you just ask “Hey Google, how much are flights to Maui?” Assistant will show you flights for a few weeks out—but you can easily follow the trends on their handy graph and put in your dates on the next screen.
