Fast and Easy Compliance

Demonstrating a strong security and compliance posture has increasingly become a prerequisite to doing business across many industries.

A SOC 2 report, for most companies, provides the necessary validation that customers are requiring; but achieving SOC 2 has historically been a time consuming and expensive process.

Secureframe’s platform, through intuitive workflows and automated evidence collection via 1-click integrations, backed by a support team of industry experts; will let you obtain a SOC 2 report in weeks, not months, without requiring a heavy investment of your time or team’s resources.

T-Mobile Users Can Now Use Alexa For Phone Calls

T-Mobile has officially partnered with Amazon’s Alexa, joining AT&T and Verizon as cell service providers that can be used on the digital assistant. T-Mobile customers will now be able to link their cell phones with Alexa-enabled devices to make or receive phone calls over Wi-Fi.

Also, since T-Mobile recently acquired Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, this new functionality should be available to these users as well. However, this feature will be unavailable for prepaid, business, government, or Sprint accounts.

Linking Your Phone

Using Alexa as an extension of your cell phone is perfect for times when your hands are preoccupied, like when you’re cooking or cleaning around the house. If you want to link your phone to Alexa then you just need to turn on the T-Mobile with Alexa skill which will prompt you to connect your number and walk you through the rest of the setup.

But, keep in mind that connecting your cell provider will automatically sync your cell phone to all of your Alexa-enabled devices. If you don’t want to connect to every single device then just head to More>Settings>Communication in the Alexa app. From here, you can select which devices you want to sync your cell phone with. This way, you can make calls from the Echo Dot in your kitchen but don’t have to worry about getting calls from the Dot on your bedside table.

Once the setup is complete, using this skill will be as simple as saying “Hey Alexa, call Mom” or “Alexa, dial 888–8888.” Notably, setting up this skill will also allow Alexa to call emergency services for you, like 911.

On the flip side, if you’re receiving a call, then you can just instruct Alexa to answer or reject the incoming call.

Integrating Alexa

With this partnership, Alexa will now be able to help a combined 353 million users make and receive phone calls across the T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T networks. This expands Alexa’s reach significantly and is all part of Amazon’s plan to try and make Alexa as convenient as possible.

Amazon execs have stated that Alexa will be most valuable if she is anywhere that customers might need her, like in the home, office, and car. This is part of the reason that Amazon is working with major automakers to create unique Alexa-powered car remote assistants.

Through this T-Mobile partnership, Amazon has helped make Alexa a little more convenient to 109 million T-Mobile users.
